Richard Smith, General Manager

Richard Smith was born and raised in Lima, OH. He currently resides in Marysville, OH with his wife and four sons. Richard proudly served for 4 years in the United States Marine Corps before starting his career in the health and fitness industry. As a Marine Sergeant he traveled to places such as Korea, Japan, Hawaii, and all over the states. His military experience prepared him for a career in which he would combine his passion for fitness and his desire to serve others. He brings with him over 11 years of industry experience in both management and sales. In addition, he has been a sports enthusiast from a very early age and looks for any opportunity to either play or attend a sporting event. Richard attends Cypress Church and looks forward to opportunities to give back to his community. He is always looking for ways to make someone’s day and help someone out. While he is devoted to his career and takes pride in his work, Richard is very family oriented and spends most of his spare time with his boys, participating and volunteering in their many extracurricular activities.

   
     
   

John Ey, Director of Operations

John was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and currently resides in Johnstown with his wife and daughter. He enjoys the outdoors, especially fishing, golfing and boating. John and his family love the water, the ocean most of all, and make it a point to travel there whenever they get an opportunity. John loves to cook, especially for his family and friends.

     
 
   

Gina Justice, Events and Marketing Director

Gina is the Events and Marketing Director at Premier at Sawmill Athletic Club and has been with the company for twelve years. While having many accomplishments during her career at Premier a few highlights include events such as Ladies Night and the Summer Kickoff Pool Party and accelerating Premier’s social media presence. Gina hopes to keep Premier in the forefront of the competition with marketing, events, and branding. Gina is married and the mother of 3 children; Christian 30, Nate 27, and Jerica 19.  She currently lives in Grandview Heights with her daughter, husband, and their crazy fat cat, Peaches. Gina also loves painting and drawing, listening to music, and watching movies.

Erika Pettijohn, Club Events and Marketing

Erika has been working at Premier for 15 years throughout many different departments including the Service Desk, Member Services, Kid’s Department Manager and is currently working in the marketing and events department. Erika graduated from Ohio University. She is enjoying life with her husband of seven years, Tommy, and their two adorable boys, Colton and Wyatt, and their dog, Tucker. When Erika is not here, she is doing something crafty or spending time with her friends and family.

     
     
   

Shelly Weigt, Service Desk Manager

Shelly joined Premier as a part-time Service Desk and Kid's Club Team Member in early 2018. She is excited to take on her new role as Service Desk Manager. Shelly has been a retail manager, as well as an office manager and home childcare provider. She also is a licensed realtor and Notary in the State of Ohio. Shelly is Ohio born and raised. She resides in Grove City with her husband, Lorne, and has two strong adult daughters, Taelor, a hair stylist and Bailey, a logistics manager, as well as a bonus son, Luke, and two grandsons, Gabe and Cooper. Although they are empty nesters, she and her husband have three fur babies, dogs Bruno and Mac, and a cat named Mars who still live at home. Shelly's favorite past-time is her special one day a week she spends with her youngest grandson, Cooper. They like to play, go to the park, and visit the zoo and local attractions together. Family time is very important to her as well as her health. She is a fitness junkie, often working out 2 to 3 times per day. You will likely catch her in the cardio and weight floor areas, so be sure to say hi!   

     
     
 

Amy Conrad, Member Account Coordinator

Amy joined the Accounting team in September 2018 as the Member Account Coordinator at Premier and will be handling the membership billing process. She has resided in Pickerington for almost 20 years with her 2 teenage children, Matt and Samantha. Amy's oldest son, Alex, lives in his own home nearby with his fiancé, Karri and 5 year old daughter, Gabby. Amy's hobbies and interests include: baking, gardening, photography, kayaking, camping, country music & FAMILY! "I truly believe in the power of positive thinking! Ryan Reitz, Aquatics Director

Ryan was Born in Huron, Ohio.  He attended The University of Akron where he graduated in 2017 with his Bachelors in Sport Management and a minor in Business Administration.  Ryan is LGI certified. In Ryan’s spare time he enjoys lifting weights, Golfing, playing video games, and playing with his dog. His favorite sport is football. 

     
     
   

 Jordyn Evans, Swim Coordinator

Jordyn has been swimming since a very young age and has swam competitively on swim teams since she was 5. Jordyn coached a swim team for young through high school aged kids while she attend Marshall University. She graduated in 2013 with a degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. She has taught swim lessons since she was 15 years old and loves to see the kiddos progress with each lesson. Jordyn is a sports enthusiast and plays competitively in several leagues for football, soccer, softball and volleyball. Jordyn currently coaches high school volleyball and indoor soccer. She is recently married to her husband, Matt, and has two fur babies (dogs), Marshall and Oliver! In her spare time, Jordyn loves to perform (sign, dance, act), play sports and read a good book. Jordyn will be leading our swim programs. She loves to meet new people, so if you see her around the club, come introduce yourself!

     
     
   

Sam Sipes, Account Executive

Sam grew up just outside of Indianapolis, Indiana and lived there until 2016 when he moved to Ohio. Sam is an NASM certified personal trainer and actually met his wife in a group fitness class he trained. In his spare time, Sam enjoys lifting weights, watching movies, and trying new restaurants around Columbus. In May of 2018, Sam graduated with a degree in Sport Management from Columbus State University

     
     
   

Mark McCahill, Account Executive

Mark was born and raised in Fairchance, Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn State University in the summer of 2010. After graduating, Mark moved to Ohio with his wife, Keshia. Prior to coming to Premier at Sawmill Athletic Club, Mark spent five years working for Aaron’s Sales and Leasing as General Manager and Accounts Manager. For the first quarter of 2014 Mark won the nationwide award, “Best of the Best” Accounts department”. Mark is an avid West Virginia University Sports fan and in his free time, he loves to listen to music and read artists biographies. Mark was in a very serious car accident in 2002 that has taught him to appreciate all the small things in life.

     
     


Amber Hammons, Account Executive

An employee for over 3 years, Amber started at Premier working in the locker room. She has also worked at the front desk and is now a part of our member services team. Amber grew up in the small town of Versailles, OH. She moved to Columbus at the age of 21 where she has resided ever since with her son. When not at premier Amber enjoys spending time with family and visiting her hometown.

Shelli Sanzo, Group Fitness Manager & PT Lead

Shelli was raised in Columbus and attended Ohio University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Shelli completed her Master's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration in 2004. Shelli always enjoyed and played sports and decided she wanted to help others fall in love with being active. Shelli began teaching Les Mills BODYJAM in September of 2008 and continued with BODYSTEP (2012) and BODYATTACK (2014). Shelli also has a Primary Group Fitness Certification and teaches BootCamp classes. When Shelli is not at Premier she is the Athletic Director at her children's school, coaches volleyball and works with different sports teams to help with strength and conditioning. Shelli has 3 daughters, ages 12,10 and 6.

Dee graduated from OSU with a degree in Family and Human Development and is a Licensed Social Worker for the state of Ohio. Dee also works as a consultant for Action For Children and teaches parenting and educational classes. Dee has been working at Premier At Sawmill for over 20 years and is now the Kids Club Manager. Dee enjoys working with families and children to help foster positive development. Dee has a husband of 30 years, Richard, and a 27-year-old son, Sean, and live in Galloway Ohio. Dee enjoys gardening, water aerobics, riding her bike and being with her family.



     
     
   

Doug Ruby, Racquetball Director

Doug is the Racquetball Director at Premier at Sawmill Athletic Club and has been playing racquetball for over 40 years in and around Columbus. Doug enjoys providing lessons for new racquetball players and prepares clinics on a monthly basis for those players that want to learn about the sport. Doug is a graduate of Franklin University, lives in Hilliard and has a son and a daughter that live in the Columbus area. Doug is also a sponsored player with E-Force Racquetball and enjoys playing in local tournaments.
